When Time Ran Out… is a disaster film released in 1980. When Time Ran Out… deals with the eruption of a volcano on a remote Pacific island, threatening a newly-constructed, multi-million dollar resort, an oil drilling project, and a volcano observatory perched on the edge of the caldera. After a major eruption causes a lava flow to head directly towards the resort, a small group of people attempt to escape to safety on the opposite side of the island, while others remain behind.     Tips for surviving an Irwin Allen film: 1. When a guy decides to take off for a way out, go with him. 2. Be in love with Paul Newman. 3. Stick close to Red Buttons and Ernest Borgnine. Great movie! Only a few scenes that I groaned through.
